A note on ranges: the fees above are starting prices for standard consumer-goods projects. Every project starts with a free consultation and a written, fixed quotation before any commitment.

You pay us — factories don't

We never take undisclosed commissions or kickbacks from suppliers. Our only client is you, which means the factory prices you receive are real and our recommendations are unbiased.

Fixed quote before we start

After a free consultation, you receive a written scope and fixed price. No hourly billing, no scope creep, no surprises on the invoice.

Pricing FAQ

How much does a sourcing agent in Vietnam cost?
Vietnam sourcing agents typically charge in one of three ways: flat project fees (roughly $500–$2,500 for a supplier search, $2,000–$5,000 for a full sourcing project), commissions of 3–10% of order value or monthly retainers of $500–$2,500. Many agents do not publish prices at all and some earn hidden commissions from factories on top of what they charge you. At Saigon Sourcing, supplier identification starts at $975 flat per product category and we never take supplier-side commissions.
Why do you publish your prices when most agents don't?
Because opacity usually benefits the agent, not the buyer. Unpublished pricing makes it easy to quote based on what a client looks able to pay and hidden factory commissions distort which suppliers get recommended. Publishing our fees keeps us accountable and lets you budget before you ever contact us.
What does "no kickbacks" actually mean?
In this industry it's common for agents to receive a percentage from the factory on every order, invisible to the buyer and built into your unit price. We refuse supplier commissions entirely. Our fees are paid by you and declared up front so the factory quotes you receive are genuine and our supplier recommendations aren't influenced by who pays us more.
Are there any costs on top of the listed fees?
Very few and always at cost with receipts: sample courier charges, third-party laboratory testing if your product requires certification and long-distance travel for audits in remote provinces (most audits within Vietnam's main manufacturing regions include travel). You approve any pass-through cost before we incur it.
Do you work on commission instead of flat fees?
Yes, if it suits your project better. For ongoing production programs some clients prefer a declared commission of 3–5% of order value instead of monthly fees. The key difference from typical industry practice: our commission is agreed with you, invoiced to you and fully visible, never collected from the factory behind your back.
What if my product is complex or regulated?
Technical products, regulated categories and multi-region searches take more effort and engineering review, compliance checking and factory visits, so they are quoted individually after a free consultation. You will always receive a written fixed quote before we start; the listed prices are floors for standard consumer-goods projects not teaser rates.
How do your prices compare to hiring a full-time sourcing employee?
A qualified bilingual sourcing manager in Vietnam costs roughly $12,000–$36,000 per year plus office, travel and management overhead. Most buyers need on-the-ground capability for a handful of projects per year, not full-time; which is why a flat-fee project (from $975) or per-order follow-up (from $399/month) is usually far more cost-effective until your volumes justify your own team.
